Its name is a combination of "skitter" and "scimitar". See, now Scyther isn't the only mantis named after a weapon!

Skimitter's moves: Leer, ViceGrip, Karate Chop, False Swipe, Fury Cutter, Agility, Double Team, Detect, Swords Dance, Air Cutter, Slash, Camouflage, Air Slash, X-Scissor, Cross Chop, and Guillotine. Not a bad movepool, am I right?

Really cool design, but why do you give some of these Pokemon lackluster stats? That just punishes the people who love their designs and want them to be on par with the other ones.
I mean yeah, GameFreak does it all the time, but that doesn't really make it a good idea... It gets frustrating when you want to battle other people with your favorite but discover that it's borderline-impossible to use it against all the popular, higher-tiered ones.
In an ideal competitive Pokemon environment, EVERYTHING is in the highest tier to create the most diverse and interesting metagame possible.
This isn't to say that you couldn't make Pokemon like this one work, but when it has to compete with the likes of Heracross, there's really no practical reason to use one over the other when the other is clearly statistically better.
That said though, I really do love your designs, it's just kinda sad that this awesome-looking mantis thing is kinda getting shafted statistically.

Edit 2: Actually, taking a look at Heracross' stats, they really aren't that different. While Heracross has higher HP, Attack, and a higher total, Skimitter has better speed, still-excellent Attack, and higher Defense (though the low HP really does offset this, perhaps they might have equal physical bulk as a result? I don't know). Perhaps Skimitter isn't so bad after all.But that still does leave a lot of your other Pokemon in the dust, such as Icicrawl and Hoglory.
