Description
I'm still trying to figure out the best way to draw Alakazam's wonky head. (Has anybody else noticed that all official artwork of Alakazam shows that its mustache starts above its nostrils? That's just weird.)
I remember way back in the days of Blue version, when despite having next to no idea what was going on or what I was doing, I managed to beat just about everyone in the game using only a Blastoise and an Alakazam. Psychic-types sure were broken back then, huh? Although it kinda makes sense when you think about it. I mean, psychic powers, especially ones on par with the likes of Alakazam and Mewtwo, would be pretty overpowered in reality, even in comparison to other superpowers. Think about it. Teleportation, mind reading, mind control, clairvoyance, telekinesis, those weird force field thingies... I know stuff like "god power" is said a lot in fiction these days to the point of not really meaning anything anymore, but that is genuinely pretty much a step or two away from virtual godhood.
Even considering all that, though, I don't think Alakazam could REALLY have an IQ of 5,000. That's just Tauros crap.
I've got a drastically different and more developed backstory for Jeeves in mind for whenever I get around to doing something with my Pokemon characters again... It also has something to do with why I switched him to having spoons like a regular Alakazam, rather than sporks or forks or whatever. Speaking of which, do you think those spoons Kadabra and Alakazam carry are actual spoons, or just manifestations of psychic energy (whatever that means)? I haven't decided what my interpretation would be yet.
