How fitting it is to have the thirteenth day feature a Pokemon cursed with rotten luck since its conception!
Farfetch'd's (Is that even right? "Farfetch'd's"?) very existence is pretty much a joke, especially if you're familiar with Japanese idioms. There's an old saying in Japan about a duck carrying a green onion, you see, and while it apparently has multiple meanings, one meaning can be compared to the good ol' "a fool and his money are soon parted".
Anybody remember what you had to do to get Farfetch'd in the original Red and Blue? You had to trade a Spearow for it. Sounded like a good deal at the time, giving away a common species for one that's one-of-a-kind. Unfortunately, while Farfetch'd is a bit better (and certainly WAY more interesting) than Spearow, it doesn't exactly have much going for it capability-wise, and in a lot of ways is completely outclassed by the many other Normal/Flying-types out there, including Spearow's evolution, Fearow.
As COMPLETELY AWESOME it would be for Farfetch'd to get an evolution (maybe even a Mega one, I guess), that would kinda beat the purpose of this literal lame duck. Which is...um...that...it has no purpose...?

The amount of fanmade Fartfetch'd evolutions that seem to draw from samurai inspired me to make an old Japanese-style picture. I even tried making it look like Farfetch'd is clutching his leek as if he was about to unsheathe a katana!

Aah, I frikin love farfeth'd's concept and design but gosh it isn't that great battle wise. I wish he got and evo, mega evo or both but I suppose you have a point of him being purposely "lame"
